BEGINNING SILK PAINTING
September 28 and 29
Saturday and Sunday, 9am until 4pm
Art classroom at the Sawdust Festival grounds in Laguna Beach, CA.
Learn color mixing and silk painting outline technique. This is a great class if you are interested in learning to paint silk scarves, silk fabrics for garments, or making wall hangings. You will learn how to stretch silk for painting, how to transfer a design to a piece of silk, painting techniques, how to use special tools, and how to steam silk for color permanency, plus tips on dye chemistry and various types of silk. You will paint a color mixing chart and a long silk scarf of your own design. No previous painting experience necessary. $250 Class fee includes all materials needed.
